Great news for travelers! IndiGo has announced the commencement of daily direct flights connecting Mumbai with Madinah, Saudi Arabia. These new services are scheduled to begin on November 15.
The airline will deploy its Airbus A320 aircraft for this route, ensuring comfortable travel. Flight bookings are now open and can be made through IndiGo’s official website, mobile app, and authorized travel partners.
This expansion is a welcome addition to IndiGo’s network, especially for those traveling to Madinah. The airline already operates flights from Hyderabad to Madinah, which currently run four times a week. Starting November 16, these services will also be upgraded to operate daily.
IndiGo plays a significant role in connecting India with Saudi Arabia, operating over 150 flights weekly to four key cities: Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, and Madinah. Notably, IndiGo is currently the only Indian carrier offering direct flights to Madinah.
The airline has released the specific flight schedule for the Mumbai-Madinah route, effective November 15:
- Mumbai-Madinah (Flight 6E 0059): Daily service with departure from Mumbai at 10:05 PM, arriving in Madinah at 1:10 AM (+1 day).
- Mumbai-Madinah (Flight 6E 0060): Daily service with departure from Mumbai at 9:50 PM, arriving in Madinah at 4:45 AM (+1 day).
These new flights are particularly beneficial for Indian pilgrims who frequently visit Madinah to offer prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque, especially during the Hajj season. The Hajj pilgrimage, a significant Islamic event, draws millions of Muslims from around the world, including a substantial number from India.
