Malla Jagadiswara Rao, the esteemed All India Vice-President of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), has been chosen to represent India at a crucial international workers’ conference. Scheduled to take place in Colombo from September 23 to 25, the event will focus on the vital topic of ‘Living Wages.’
This significant international gathering will bring together delegates from various countries across the Asia and Pacific regions. Also in attendance will be key officials from the Ministry of Labour and Employment, alongside representatives from various management bodies, fostering a comprehensive dialogue on worker welfare.
Mr. Jagadiswara Rao brings a wealth of experience to this role, having previously represented India at several high-profile international conferences. His past engagements include participating in international labour conferences in Geneva, discussions on social security in Singapore, and debates on ‘globalization and the WTO’ in Japan, showcasing his deep understanding of global labour issues.
Leaders from the BMS, including State General Secretary M.V.S. Naidu, Treasurer Lalam Prasad, Executive Committee Member I. Muthyalu, and District President Rokkam Suresh, extended their congratulations to Mr. Jagadiswara Rao. They expressed confidence that his contributions would lead to impactful proposals at the conference, furthering the cause of workers’ rights.
