A six-member delegation representing the Communist Party of India (Marxist), spearheaded by its General Secretary M.A. Baby, has embarked on an important week-long journey to China. This visit comes at the invitation of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC), as announced by the CPI(M) on Tuesday.
The delegation departed for Beijing late on Monday night and is scheduled to remain in China from September 23 to September 30.
According to the party’s official statement, this trip is a continuation of the established party-to-party exchange programs between the CPI(M) and the CPC. Throughout their visit, the delegation plans to engage in extensive discussions with senior leaders of the Communist Party of China.
Accompanying M.A. Baby are fellow politburo members Mohammed Salim, Jitendra Chaudhury, and R. Arun Kumar, alongside Central Committee members K. Hemalata and C.S. Sujatha, forming a strong representation from the Indian communist party.
