The Indian Air Force (IAF) recently completed an intense joint exercise with the United Kingdom’s Carrier Strike Group (CSG) in the Indian Ocean. The training, held on October 14, 2025, showcased a united front in enhancing regional security and stability.
This powerful aerial drill featured advanced IAF aircraft, including Sukhoi-30 MKIs, Jaguars, AWACS, and AEW&C planes. These were expertly integrated with the Royal Navy’s F-35B fighter jets, launched from the formidable HMS Prince of Wales.
The primary objective of this exercise was to deepen interoperability, build mutual trust, and refine operational coordination between the two formidable air forces. Such collaborative efforts underscore their dedication to maintaining peace and order in the strategic Indian Ocean Region.
Prior to this impressive air exercise, the Indian Navy and Royal Navy successfully concluded the maritime exercise KONKAN 25 on October 8. The sea phase of KONKAN 25 involved a comprehensive array of complex naval operations, spanning tactical air warfare, advanced air defense, surface and anti-submarine maneuvers, and efficient underway replenishment, further solidifying the bilateral defense partnership.
