A truly astonishing and unsettling event unfolded on Thursday night in Chiyyavaram village, nestled within the Thottambedu mandal of Tirupati district. A man, following a venomous snake attack, responded with an act of sheer desperation and fury: he bit off the snake’s head.
The individual involved, identified as Venkatesh, had reportedly been consuming alcohol when he was attacked by a black krait. In a shocking display of raw instinct or perhaps a drunken rage, he grabbed the serpent and, in turn, bit its head off, ending the creature’s life instantly. In an even stranger turn of events, he then reportedly took the dead snake back to his home and placed it on his bed before falling asleep.
As the morning light broke, Venkatesh’s family discovered his rapidly deteriorating condition. They rushed him to Srikalahasti Area Hospital for immediate first aid. However, with the snake’s venom already coursing through his system, his condition necessitated a transfer to the Ruia Government General Hospital in Tirupati for more intensive care.
Medical professionals at Ruia Government General Hospital have confirmed that Venkatesh remains in a critical state, fighting for his life after this unbelievable encounter.
