Deepanwita Chattopadhyay, the Chief Managing Director (CMD) of IKP Knowledge Park, has achieved a significant international recognition by being elected as the Vice-President of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP).
She is set to commence her two-year term after receiving approval from the 2025 IASP General Assembly, held in Beijing. In this pivotal role, Ms. Chattopadhyay will serve on the executive board alongside President Salvatore Majorana from Kilometro Rosso, Italy; Treasurer Tom Bentley representing Melbourne Innovation Districts, Australia; and IASP CEO Ebba Lund.
Ms. Chattopadhyay’s impactful career began with ICICI Bank in 1994. In August 2001, she was appointed as CEO of IKP Knowledge Park, where she was instrumental in developing India’s very first Life Science Research Park, located in Hyderabad.
Her dedication and expertise have been evident through her previous contributions to the IASP Board, which include serving as IASP Treasurer, President of the Asia Pacific Division, and a valued member of the IASP Advisory Council. The IASP International Board comprises 15 members from 15 different countries and convenes biannually, as confirmed by an IASP statement.
