The Indian Institute of Educational Theatre (IIET) in Mysuru is excited to continue its acclaimed ‘Project WASTE – Creative Reuse’ initiative. This innovative program is specifically designed to spark the imaginations of young children, encouraging them to think both creatively and responsibly about the materials we often throw away. It’s all about showing kids the amazing artistic potential hidden in discarded items, transforming them into beautiful and imaginative new creations.
Mark your calendars! The next captivating session of Project WASTE is scheduled for November 1st and 2nd. This particular workshop will delve into the exciting theme of ‘Creative reuse using waste clothes.’ Children will discover how common household items, particularly old fabrics, can be given a vibrant new life and transformed into unique art through simple creativity and clever resourcefulness.
These enriching sessions are open to children between 7 and 14 years old and will take place at the Indian Institute of Educational Theatre (IIET) in Mysuru. The Saturday session runs from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, while the Sunday session will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
A nominal participation fee of ₹200 applies for the entire weekend workshop.
Through this deeply engaging and educational program, IIET is committed to fostering both environmental awareness and artistic creativity in young learners. The goal is to help them truly appreciate the inherent value in materials that might otherwise be discarded.
