The Idukki district administration’s groundbreaking ‘Neril Subcollector’ project, designed to foster quicker and more transparent public communication, has proven to be a resounding success since its recent launch. This initiative allows citizens to engage directly, ‘face-to-face,’ with the Subcollector.
Officials report impressive early results: within just one week, Idukki Subcollector Anoop Garg successfully conducted two online sessions, addressing complaints from 13 individuals. The submitted applications primarily involved crucial matters such as title deeds, land ownership transfers, property fair value assessments, and various employment-related concerns. Remarkably, field inspections for fair value applications were finalized in a mere two days.
Subcollector Garg confirms that the project has garnered exceptionally positive feedback from the community. Consequently, the initial allocation of 12 slots will be significantly increased starting this week to meet growing demand. These valuable 10-minute consultation slots, totaling 18 per week, are scheduled for Wednesdays and Fridays, between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Interested citizens can easily reserve their appointment to engage with the Subcollector.
