The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has announced a significant disruption in water supply for numerous areas across the city, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday due to essential maintenance work.
These crucial works involve addressing existing leakages and replacing outdated valves along the 2375 mm diameter MS pumping main, which is a vital part of the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project-III. The work will span the stretch from Kodandapur to Godakondla, aiming to enhance system reliability and prevent unforeseen major breakdowns.
The water shutdown is slated to last for 36 continuous hours, commencing at 6 a.m. on Monday and concluding at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Residents are urged to make necessary arrangements to store water during this period.
A wide array of areas falling under the command zones of the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project-III will experience this interruption. These include, but are not limited to: Gachibowli, Kondapur, Madhapur, Ayyappa Society, Kavuri Hills, Prashashan Nagar, Film Nagar, Jubilee Hills, Thattikhana, Bhojagutta, Shaikpet, Hakeempet, Karwan, Mehdipatnam, Asifnagar, Golkonda, Langar Houz, Durganagar, Budvel, Suleman Nagar, Golden Heights, 9 No., Kismathpur, Gandhamguda, Bandlaguda, Shashtripuram, Allabanda, Madhuban, Dharmasai (Shamshabad), Sahebnagar, Autonagar, Saroornagar, Vasavi Nagar, Nagole, NTR Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Devendarnagar, Uppal, Snehapuri, Bharathnagar, Rampally, Boduppal, Chengicherla, Manikchand, Mallikarjuna Nagar, Peerzadiguda, and Peddamberpet.
