To mark the upcoming International Day of Older Persons on October 1st, a significant panel discussion was recently convened in Thiruvananthapuram. This important event was jointly organized by HelpAge India and the Senior Citizens Service Council.
The insightful discussion was formally inaugurated by KNK Namboothiri, a respected member of the Kerala State Elderly Commission. A key highlight of the event was the special felicitation of M.R. Rajagopal, a renowned palliative care expert and recipient of the prestigious Padma Shri award, recognizing his invaluable contributions to society.
The vibrant conversation was skillfully moderated by S. Haneefa Rawther, the General Secretary of the Senior Citizens Service Council. Also present was Biju Mathew, the State Head of HelpAge India, underscoring the collaborative and impactful nature of this event dedicated to the welfare of older persons.
