Exciting news for health enthusiasts in Karnataka! A state-of-the-art Yoga and Naturopathy Hospital and Research Centre is preparing for its grand opening on November 3rd. Located in Komaranahalli, just a stone’s throw from Harapanahalli in the Vijayanagara district, this new facility by the Jaya Education Trust is dedicated to providing affordable, holistic healthcare rooted in ancient yoga and naturopathy principles.
The inauguration will be a significant event, following a series of special religious programs on November 2nd. Dignitaries, including Siddalinga Rajadeshikendra Swami of Ujjaini Mutt and Varasadyojata Swami of Tegginamath, are expected to grace the occasion. Trust secretary Mahesh S.N. and Chief Medical Officer Rajesh Padekal recently shared details about this ambitious project at a press conference in Ballari, where they highlighted the center’s vision.
Spanning an impressive 6.5 acres, the Janani Yoga and Naturopathy Hospital and Research Centre boasts a 100-bed capacity. It will offer a comprehensive range of natural therapies, including hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, magnetotherapy, acupuncture, diet therapy, and mud therapy. Patients will also benefit from specialized yoga-based rehabilitation programs. For comfort and privacy, the hospital provides various accommodation options, from well-equipped general wards to private rooms and cozy cottages.
Dr. Padekal emphasized that the center is designed to tackle modern lifestyle-related health challenges using natural and time-tested methods. He noted, “Yoga and naturopathy are increasingly recognized globally for their profound impact on preventive and holistic healthcare. This center will ensure that residents of this region, who often undertake long journeys for similar specialized care, now have easy access to such vital treatments right at their doorstep.”
Committed to accessibility, the hospital, situated approximately 5 km from Harapanahalli, has set an inclusive daily fee of ₹1,200. This covers accommodation, nourishing meals, and essential treatments, making holistic wellness truly affordable. Furthermore, the Jaya Education Trust has been a pioneer in the field, already operating a successful degree program in yoga and naturopathy at Harapanahalli for the past three years.
Beyond healthcare, officials believe this new facility will significantly boost wellness tourism in the region, especially given its close proximity to the world-renowned UNESCO World Heritage site of Hampi. Udayashankar Bhatt, the Media and Public Relations Officer for the Janani Group of Institutions, was also present during the press conference, underscoring the collaborative effort behind this venture.
