Panic briefly gripped Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport early Sunday morning after a disturbing bomb threat was received via email. The alarming message, which arrived around 6 a.m., ominously warned of explosives planted both at the airport and in several city schools, immediately prompting a high-stakes security response.
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel, working alongside local police, swiftly launched comprehensive anti-sabotage inspections across the airport premises. Every nook and cranny was meticulously checked in a tense search for any suspicious devices.
Thankfully, after exhaustive and thorough searches, authorities confirmed that the threat was nothing more than a dangerous hoax. No explosives were discovered, and airport operations continued without interruption, much to the relief of passengers and staff.
The RGIA police have since registered a formal case based on the complaint and are now actively pursuing an investigation to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for sending the malicious and disruptive email.
