In a dramatic incident unfolding in Kasaragod, Kerala, law enforcement authorities successfully intercepted a vehicle following a high-speed pursuit, leading to the confiscation of MDMA and ganja. One individual has been taken into custody, but the alleged mastermind, a local dentist, remains at large.
The operation was initiated when the Bekal DySP, supported by a specialized DANSAF squad and the Melparamba police, acted on specific intelligence from the District Police Chief. Their objective was to halt a car suspected of illegal drug trafficking at the 55th Mile marker. However, the driver ignored commands to stop, accelerating and triggering a tense chase.
The pursuit ended when the speeding car crashed into a scooter at Chattanchal Junction, forcing it to a halt. At this point, the driver, later identified as Muhammed Suneer, a dentist by profession, abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Police swiftly apprehended his passenger, 36-year-old M. Ahmed Kabir, a resident within the Melparamba police station’s jurisdiction.
During the subsequent search of the seized car, officers discovered 3.28 grams of MDMA and 10.65 grams of cannabis. A formal drug trafficking case has been registered against Suneer, who is now officially considered absconding.
Authorities have confirmed that extensive efforts are currently underway to locate and apprehend the fleeing dentist. The successful seizure operation was led by Melparamba Sub-Inspector A.N. Suresh Kumar and his dedicated team members from the Bekal Sub-Division DANSAF.
