District Collector A. Siri meticulously reviewed all arrangements on Wednesday in anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kurnool on October 16. She issued clear directives to officials, urging them to accelerate all tasks and guarantee flawless execution across departments for a truly successful event.
The Collector personally oversaw the crucial arrangements for parking, the helipad, and the public meeting venue at Ragamayuri Green Hills, located near the Nannur toll gate. She thoroughly inspected eleven designated parking areas and instructed officials to expedite construction, barricading, and ensure smooth road connectivity to the main venue.
Furthermore, Ms. Siri scrutinized preparations concerning VIP green rooms, sanitation facilities, and comprehensive security protocols. She emphasized the critical importance of installing CCTV cameras at all strategic locations, including the helipad, parking zones, and the public meeting ground, to maintain constant and rigorous surveillance throughout the event.
At the Nannur village secretariat, the Collector convened a meeting with Medical and Health department officials to assess medical preparedness. She instructed them to ensure two basic life support ambulances are on standby and medical camps are established at all parking zones. Additionally, Ms. Siri mandated the setup of a 10-bed hospital specifically for VIPs and a 20-bed facility for the general public at the main venue. She also held discussions with the Chief Minister’s programme coordinator, M. Satyanarayana Raju, regarding these vital arrangements.
Other key officials present at the review included Adoni Sub-Collector Maurya Bharadwaj, along with senior representatives from the Roads and Buildings, Revenue, Panchayat Raj, and police departments.
