HYDERABAD – The political community and family in Hyderabad are mourning the loss of Tenneeru Satyanarayana, the respected father of senior Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and former Minister T. Harish Rao. Mr. Satyanarayana passed away on Tuesday at his son’s residence following a short illness.
Originally from Thotapalli village in Karimnagar district, Tenneeru Satyanarayana was a former government employee. He was also a brother-in-law to BRS founder-president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, having been married to Mr. Rao’s elder sister, Laxmi Bai.
Upon hearing the somber news, numerous party leaders and well-wishers rushed to Mr. Harish Rao’s home in Kokapet to offer their condolences and support during this difficult time. Among the first to arrive was K.T. Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, who subsequently canceled the party’s scheduled campaign activities for the Jubilee Hills by-election out of respect.
Former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, accompanied by his wife Shobha, also paid their heartfelt respects. In his condolence message, Mr. Rao fondly remembered his long-standing association and cherished memories with his late brother-in-law.
