A cherished tradition unfolded at the revered Sreekrishna temple in Guruvayur this Sunday morning, as a heartfelt symbolic elephant offering ceremony took place. The sacred event, conducted immediately following the Sheeveli ritual, was reverently guided by the temple’s esteemed Melsanthi, Moorthiyedath Mana Sudhakaran Namboothiri.
This significant offering was made possible by Saraswathi, a devoted individual from Bengaluru, who contributed a generous sum of ₹10 lakh to the temple devaswom. In keeping with ancient customs, the temple’s very own majestic elephant, Ravi Krishnan, was chosen to be symbolically ‘presented’ during the ceremony, embodying the spirit of the offering and reinforcing the profound connection between devotees and the divine.
