In a tragic turn of events at Komaravolu village in Krishna district, a 35-year-old woman has reportedly died by suicide after allegedly enduring relentless sexual harassment from a local youth.
Police confirmed that the individual accused of harassment, identified as M. Pavan, had been tormenting M. Vasantha for several days. Overwhelmed by the situation, Vasantha tragically consumed pesticide on Friday. Despite receiving medical attention, she succumbed at the Gudivada Area Government Hospital, as confirmed by Pamarru Circle Inspector V. Subhakar on Saturday.
Authorities have since registered a case based on a complaint and launched a thorough investigation into the incident. The victim leaves behind her husband and two young children.
