A somber cloud has fallen over Thiruvananthapuram after a two-year-old boy tragically passed away in a private hospital on Sunday, October 12, 2025. He had been receiving intensive medical care following a devastating accident involving an old drilling machine.
The young victim was identified as Dhruv, a resident of West Fort. Police reports indicate that Dhruv had been battling for his life for two days after the incident occurred within his own home.
Authorities explained that the drilling machine, which was reportedly old and non-functional, was accidentally pulled down by its wire by the curious toddler. The heavy equipment struck his forehead, causing severe, life-threatening injuries.
