A devastating explosion at a residence near Alur in Hassan district on Monday has claimed the lives of a young couple. Sudarshan, 32, and Kavya, 27, tragically succumbed to their severe burn injuries at a hospital in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
Following the harrowing incident, the couple was initially rushed to Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences. Due to the critical nature of their injuries, they were swiftly transferred to a specialized hospital in Bengaluru, facilitated by a zero-traffic corridor. Despite these intensive efforts, they tragically passed away. The couple leaves behind a one-and-a-half-year-old child.
Authorities were unable to record statements from Sudarshan and Kavya due to their critical condition before their demise.
The Alur police have registered a case and launched a full-scale investigation into the mysterious blast. An expert forensic team from Bengaluru has visited the site and collected crucial evidence to determine the cause of the explosion. The probe remains ongoing as officials work diligently to uncover the full circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
