In the early hours of Friday morning, a routine journey turned into a harrowing ordeal for 29 passengers aboard a private bus in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district. Near Thalagasi Palli Cross in Garladinne mandal, disaster struck when a tire burst, quickly igniting the vehicle in a blaze that threatened to consume everyone inside.
What could have been a tragic loss of life was averted by the extraordinary presence of mind shown by the bus driver. Upon detecting the fire, he immediately maneuvered the bus to the left side of the road, safely bringing it to a halt. His swift action allowed precious seconds for an urgent evacuation.
Passengers, alerted to the imminent danger, acted quickly, utilizing emergency exits and even breaking windows to escape the rapidly escalating inferno. Miraculously, all 29 individuals on board managed to get to safety without sustaining any injuries.
The bus, which was on its way to Raichur via Bengaluru, was tragically reduced to a charred wreck within minutes. Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene, but by then, the vehicle was completely destroyed. This incident stands as a testament to the importance of quick reactions in moments of crisis, ensuring a miraculous escape for all involved.
