The Telangana State Waqf Board has announced a significant initiative: the ground and seventh floors of the historic Haj House in Nampally will be transformed into dedicated digital data entry units. This move aligns with the goals of the UMEED portal, aiming to streamline the management of waqf properties across the state.
These new units are specifically designed to enhance the efficiency of data entry, updating, and verification for waqf properties, ultimately leading to greater transparency and accountability. The Telangana Waqf Board (TGWB) has specified that the ground floor will exclusively handle properties managed by local mutawallis and committees, while the seventh floor will focus on properties directly administered by the TGWB.
In a related development, a delegation of TGWB members, including Chairman Syed Azmatullah Husseni and board members Syed Akbar Nizamuddin Hussaini, Syed Nisar Hussain, and Syed Bandagi Badeshah Quadri, held a productive meeting with Minister for Minorities Welfare, Adluri Laxman. Their discussions centered on the effective functioning of the board and the ongoing implementation strategies for the UMEED portal.
