The Gujarat High Court recently experienced its third bomb threat since June, which authorities quickly confirmed as a hoax after a thorough search of the premises.
Police reported that on Monday morning, an anonymous email was sent to the High Court’s official address, falsely claiming that RDX explosives had been planted within the court building, located on Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway in Ahmedabad.
Upon receiving the alert from court officials, local law enforcement, including a specialized dog squad and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, promptly responded. They meticulously searched all structures within the high court complex, including courtrooms, judicial chambers, and both parked and arriving vehicles, all while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing court proceedings.
Following a comprehensive inspection, no suspicious items or dangerous materials were discovered, officially declaring the threat to be unfounded. This marks a concerning pattern for the Gujarat High Court, which has now faced such security alerts multiple times in just a few months.
