And for those who enjoy paneer, a 500-gram pack will be ₹11 less expensive, moving from ₹245 to ₹234. The best part? Paneer is now completely exempt from GST, removing the previous 5% tax.
Sweet tooth alert! A litre of Milma’s delicious vanilla ice cream will now be a delightful ₹24 cheaper, priced at ₹196 instead of ₹220. This significant reduction is due to the GST on ice cream falling from 18% to just 5%.
Overall, these welcome changes mean that ghee, butter, and paneer will see price drops of about 7%, while your favorite ice creams will be a fantastic 12% to 13% more affordable. Milma Chairman K.S. Mani emphasized the cooperative’s commitment to its customers, ensuring that the full advantage of these GST reductions is directly passed on to consumers.
