Get ready for some serious speed! The fourth round of the MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Championship is about to ignite at the Madras International Circuit this Friday. With a massive field of 152 entries, the fight for championship glory is wide open across all National and One-Make Championship categories, including the highly anticipated Petronas TVS and Idemitsu Honda India Talent Cup events.
The premier Pro-Stock 301-400cc Open class has been a hotbed of intense rivalry. Hyderabad’s Rahil Pillarisetty, representing RACR Castrol Power1 on his Yamaha R3, and Pune’s young sensation Sarthak Chavan from Petronas TVS Racing, who is also the defending champion, have been locked in an exhilarating battle. Each rider has clinched three victories so far, with the 27-year-old Pillarisetty holding a slender lead of just nine points – setting the stage for a dramatic showdown!
And it’s not just the top class; the competition is equally fierce throughout the other categories. Current championship leaders will face immense pressure as they strive to defend their hard-earned positions against a hungry field of contenders, ensuring every race is a nail-biter.
Among the standout performers are two riders from Bengaluru: 18-year-old Savion Sabu and his Mad Rabbit Racing teammate, 31-year-old Varun Patil. They are currently leading the Pro-Stock 165-200cc Open and Stock 301-400cc (Novice) categories, respectively, showcasing strong talent from the region.
