The National Institute of Technology-Calicut (NIT-C) recently played host to a groundbreaking event: IEEE YESS’25, a premier summit for engineering students. Held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, this impressive gathering, organized by the Kerala chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), saw an astonishing turnout of over 6,000 students from more than 100 engineering colleges across the region.
The summit kicked off with an inspiring inaugural ceremony led by Prasad Krishna, Director of NIT-C. The event was gracefully presided over by B.S. Manoj, who serves as the Chair of the IEEE Kerala Section. A highlight of the opening was the compelling keynote address delivered by Sameer S.M., the Chair-Elect of IEEE Region 10.
