Karnataka’s Forest Minister and Bidar district in-charge Minister, Eshwar Khandre, has issued a powerful rebuke against former Union Minister Bhagwanth Khuba over his recent remarks concerning Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
In a statement shared on his Facebook account this Wednesday, Minister Khandre expressed deep dismay, stating that Khuba, who he claims has been “rejected by the people and left without work, wandering from street to street,” has resorted to labeling a democratically elected Chief Minister as an “urban Naxal.” Khandre condemned this as profoundly regrettable.
The Minister further asserted that despite serving as a Member of Parliament for a decade, Khuba failed to deliver any significant contributions to his home district.
Khandre also accused the former MP of inaction during the severe COVID-19 crisis, when citizens struggled to find hospital beds and vital medicines, and life-saving injections were being sold on the black market.
Highlighting the current administration’s achievements, Minister Khandre emphasized that “Through the five guarantee schemes, the Chief Minister has ignited new hope in the lives of the poor by ensuring social justice for all. To speak disparagingly of such a compassionate leader reveals an anti-people mindset.”
In a sharp retort, he sarcastically remarked, “Just as an empty vessel makes more noise, Mr. Khuba, having been rejected by the people, is merely passing his time by issuing daily press statements.”
Khandre concluded by stating that although he had initially refrained from responding, he felt compelled to strongly condemn the offensive comments directed at the Chief Minister and Mr. Rahul Gandhi.
