Good news for all travelers! To alleviate the usual rush and ensure a more comfortable journey during the festive seasons of Dasara and Deepavali, Central Railway is introducing a substantial number of special train services. A total of 116 special trips will be run between Kolhapur and Kalaburagi, with operations scheduled from September 24th to November 30th, passing through the Solapur Division.
Detailed scheduling reveals that Train No. 01451, the Kolhapur-Kalaburagi Special, will depart from Kolhapur daily at 6:10 a.m. (with the exception of Fridays), reaching Kalaburagi at 4:10 p.m. on the same day. For the return journey, Train No. 01452, the Kalaburagi-Kolhapur Special, will leave Kalaburagi at 6:10 p.m. daily (also excluding Fridays), arriving in Kolhapur at 5:40 a.m. the following morning. Each route will feature 58 trips, culminating in 116 services for the entire festival period.
These special trains are designed to offer broad connectivity, including stops at various intermediate stations. Passengers will be able to board or alight at Hatkanangle, Jaysingpur, Miraj, Arag, Belanki, Salagre, Kavathemahankal, Langarpeth, Dhalgaon, Jath Road, Mhasoba Dongargaon, Javale, Wasud, Sangola, Pandharpur, Modnimb, Kurduwadi, and Solapur.
The composition of each special train will consist of 18 coaches: four AC-III Tier coaches, six Sleeper Class coaches, six General Second Class coaches, and two General Second Class-cum-Guard’s Brake Vans, ensuring ample capacity for passengers.
Reservations for these much-anticipated special trains will commence on September 16th. Tickets can be booked at all computerized reservation centers, as well as conveniently online via the IRCTC website. For unreserved travel, tickets will be available for purchase at booking counters or through the UTS mobile application.
Yogesh Patil, the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Solapur Division, urged the public to utilize this enhanced travel facility during the busy festival period.
