Under the visionary national program, ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan,’ initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences) proudly teamed up with the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology. Together, they hosted a vital free screening camp, focusing on early detection of cervical and breast cancer for all women employees.
The response from the NIMHANS community was truly inspiring, with 74 dedicated women employees participating in the screening held on Wednesday, demonstrating a strong commitment to their health.
To ensure accessibility and comfort, a specialized mobile screening bus from Kidwai is conveniently located at the OPD block, right next to the free drug counter, operating from 10 AM to 4 PM. Expert women oncologists are conducting the screenings, prioritizing privacy and a comfortable experience for every participant. Women are kindly requested to bring their ABHA ID or Aadhaar card for the quick, two-minute registration process, which involves collecting essential health information. To maximize convenience, screening reports are provided both as physical copies and electronically via email.
This impactful ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’ campaign is scheduled from September 17 to October 2. Throughout this period, various activities are being rolled out nationwide, all dedicated to empowering women’s health through comprehensive awareness initiatives, crucial screening programs, and robust preventive care measures, as detailed in an official announcement.
