WE Hub, Telangana’s pioneering incubator for women entrepreneurs, has officially launched the inaugural group for its RAMP (Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance) women’s acceleration program. This significant initiative, backed by the World Bank and the Union Ministry of MSME, commenced on Wednesday.
This first cohort comprises 45 women-led Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) meticulously selected from a pool of 300 applicants across 13 districts of Telangana. The selection process involved rigorous outreach boot-camps held over two years. From now until March 2027, these chosen businesses are poised to receive extensive acceleration support designed to significantly boost their growth, expand their market reach, and enhance their overall revenue.
The RAMP program offers a diverse range of strategic interventions. These include specialized capacity building training components, tailored mentorship within specific sectors, crucial financial linkages, and comprehensive market access assistance. This robust market support covers everything from strategic product positioning to leveraging e-commerce platforms, as well as facilitating vital B2B and B2C networking opportunities. Additionally, participants will benefit from insightful exposure visits and valuable networking events, as confirmed by WE Hub in their official release.
K. Madhukar Babu, Joint Director (MSME) at the Telangana Commissionerate of Industries, emphasized the vast untapped potential within Telangana’s MSME sector, particularly concerning women entrepreneurs. He stated, “Realizing this potential demands appropriate support, and programs like RAMP WAP are absolutely vital. The Telangana government, through its strong MSME Policy and comprehensive support frameworks, is fully dedicated to bolstering this crucial ecosystem.”
“This initial cohort represents a pivotal moment in strengthening Telangana’s ecosystem for women-led MSMEs,” remarked Sita Pallacholla, CEO of WE Hub, underscoring the program’s transformative impact.
