Lalitha Super Specialities Hospital has proudly inaugurated a free health screening camp for women, operating under the empowering banner of the “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family Campaign). Dr. P.V. Raghava Sarma, the hospital’s esteemed Chairman, officially launched this crucial initiative at the hospital premises on Monday, September 22, 2025. The camp is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will continue to serve the community until October 2, 2025.
During the inauguration, Dr. Sarma emphasized the profound significance of preventive healthcare for women. He passionately stated, “A woman’s health is the bedrock of her family’s and, by extension, society’s well-being. Proactive health screenings and early disease detection are paramount to preventing minor issues from escalating into serious health crises. When a woman prioritizes her health, she reinforces the strength and stability of her entire family.”
This comprehensive health camp provides an array of free screening services, including checks for blood pressure, diabetes, weight, and BMI. Crucially, it also offers screenings for prevalent women’s health concerns such as oral cancer, breast cancer, and cervical cancer. For those requiring further assessment, advanced procedures like Pap smears and breast ultrasounds will be conducted entirely free of charge. Beyond diagnostics, participants will benefit from valuable counseling, personalized dietary recommendations, and practical lifestyle advice to foster long-term health.
To ensure holistic care, the camp is staffed by a dedicated multidisciplinary team of medical experts. This team comprises highly skilled specialists in gynaecology, oncology, dentistry, neurology, dermatology, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), ophthalmology, radiology, and general medicine, all working together to provide comprehensive health services.
