For all traders planning to sell firecrackers this upcoming Diwali, the Cyberabad Police have officially opened the window for online applications for temporary sale licenses. This is a crucial announcement for anyone looking to participate in the festive season responsibly.
These essential licenses are being granted under the stringent guidelines of the Explosives Act of 1884 and the Explosives Rules of 1983, which were last amended in 2008. Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty emphasized the importance of adhering to these regulations.
Applicants intending to possess and sell firecrackers within the Cyberabad commissionerate’s jurisdiction on a temporary basis must secure the necessary permission from the Deputy Commissioner of Police in their respective zones. It’s a clear warning: any violation of these rules or engaging in unauthorized sales of explosives will result in penal action as stipulated by the Act.
To apply, individuals and businesses must submit their applications exclusively online through either cybpms.telangana.gov.in or www.cyberabadpolice.gov.in. Please note this critical deadline: all applications must be submitted on or before October 16. Authorities have confirmed that any applications received after this date will unfortunately not be accepted.
