Highlighting alarming media reports surrounding the attack, Mr. Dhinakaran expressed profound shock, underscoring that it is the paramount duty of the State government to protect its doctors. The incident specifically involved a trainee doctor at the Government Sivagangai Medical College and Hospital, drawing widespread concern.
The former legislator also pointed out that trainee doctors are planning protests due to the police’s perceived inaction on the complaint, despite clear supporting evidence, including CCTV footage.
