A devastating fire ravaged a family’s home in Thippa Tribal Colony, located in Pothireddipalem village, Kovur mandal, SPSR Nellore district, on Wednesday night, September 17. The blaze, suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit, completely destroyed the humble abode and all its contents. Mercifully, there were no fatalities or injuries reported from the incident, but the loss of property is total.
The residents, who are daily wage laborers, were out collecting their earnings when the inferno erupted. Alert neighbors quickly noticed the flames and immediately notified the Fire and Emergency Services. Upon returning to their charred home, the distressed family was met with further sorrow: their precious, hard-earned cash, meticulously saved and stored in an almirah, had been reduced to ashes.
