On September 20, the Cyberabad police executed the seventh phase of their ongoing anti-narcotics campaign, successfully destroying an astounding 1,858 kilograms of seized drugs. This massive haul of illicit substances carried an estimated market value of over ₹25.3 crore.
The incineration operation took place at GJ Multiclave (India) Pvt. Ltd. in Edulapalle, ensuring strict adherence to all environmental pollution control regulations.
This significant drug destruction was a result of evidence gathered from 316 cases filed under the NDPS Act. The vast array of narcotics obliterated included: a staggering 1,783.739 kg of ganja, 37.3 kg of ganja chocolates, 17.451 kg of hashish oil, 2,163 grams of heroin, 476.9 grams of cocaine, 6.545 kg of mephedrone, 3.962 kg of opium, 36 grams of ketamine, and 685 ml of liquid methamphetamine. Additionally, smaller quantities of dangerous substances such as MDMA, alprazolam, fentanyl, LSD, and nitrazepam tablets were also disposed of.
