Good news for job seekers in Telangana! The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has announced that online applications for its driver and shramik recruitment drive, initially notified last month, are now officially open. Interested candidates can start applying online from Wednesday, and the application window will remain open until October 28.
A key clarification has been issued, particularly for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates. The Commissioner of SC Development recently directed district collectors, via an order dated September 22, to issue community certificates in a new, updated format. It’s vital that these new certificates clearly specify the applicant’s exact group (Group I, II, or III).
Therefore, all SC candidates aspiring for these TGSRTC positions are strongly advised to secure these new format community certificates from their respective Tahsildars or Mee Seva Centres and upload them with their online applications.
However, if you’re an SC candidate and can’t get the new certificate in time, don’t worry! You can still upload your existing caste certificate, provided it was issued by a competent Telangana authority and clearly states your caste name. Just remember, if you use an older certificate, you must present the new format certificate, complete with the sub-classification, during the document verification stage. Failing to do so will unfortunately render your application ineligible under the SC category.
