Telugu Desam Party MLA Bonela Vijaya Chandra announced on Saturday, October 25, that the Andhra Pradesh government has promptly released ₹9.75 lakh in compensation. This financial assistance is intended for four laborers—Ravi, Reddi Ramesh, K. Ramesh, and B. Sundara Rao—who sustained severe injuries in a firecracker blast at the ANL parcel counter in Parvatipuram on October 19, 2025. The funds will cover their ongoing treatment in various corporate hospitals.
A press release from MLA Vijaya Chandra’s office detailed his efforts to secure this aid. He had brought the unfortunate incident to the attention of Transport Minister Mandapalli Ram Prasad Reddy and APSRTC Managing Director Dwaraka Tirumala Rao. The MLA emphasized that the blast was a direct consequence of ANL services’ negligence in allowing explosive firecracker parcels to be transported without proper verification in APSRTC vehicles. Following his crucial meetings with both officials in Vijayawada, Mr. Vijaya Chandra successfully advocated for the swift disbursement of the compensation, ensuring the victims could continue receiving quality medical treatment without delay.
