In Bengaluru, the Jigani Police Department has registered a non-cognisable complaint against an unknown individual who chose to name their Wi-Fi internet network with a pro-Pakistan slogan. This incident has sparked considerable debate and public interest.
The investigation began after Govardhan Singh, a resident and active member of the Bajrang Dal, formally reported the matter. Singh discovered the provocative Wi-Fi network, explicitly titled ‘Pakistan Zindabad,’ while searching for available connections in Kallubalu village, located in the Jigani area. He promptly provided the police with a screenshot of the offending Wi-Fi username, which has since circulated rapidly across various social media platforms, amplifying the controversy and drawing significant public scrutiny.
