Sources within the Congress party confirmed on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, that their esteemed president, Mallikarjun Kharge, has been hospitalized. He was admitted after experiencing a fever.
The 83-year-old veteran leader is currently receiving medical attention from doctors at Bengaluru’s M.S. Ramaiah Hospital.
A Congress leader, who preferred to remain anonymous, stated: “The Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha was brought to the hospital on Tuesday following the onset of fever and discomfort from leg pain. We can confirm he is doing well, and there is no cause for serious concern. His condition is being closely observed by the medical team.”
