K.N. Rajanna, a sitting Congress MLA and former Minister, publicly questioned on Saturday whether proposed restrictions on RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) activities in public areas, including government schools and colleges, could genuinely be enforced and succeed.
He challenged the government, asking if similar permission would be demanded from the Muslim community for performing namaz on public roads. This sentiment interestingly echoed a recent statement made by expelled BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal just a day prior.
Mr. Rajanna, who was recently dropped from the Cabinet, emphasized that any regulations introduced by the government should be practical and realistically implementable to be truly effective.
