The Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit (TNGSS) 2025, held in Coimbatore on October 9th and 10th and inaugurated by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, has been hailed by the state government as a monumental success. This two-day event is seen as a crucial step towards empowering startups to fuel the Chief Minister’s ambitious goal of a $1 trillion economy for Tamil Nadu.
The summit attracted global attention, with participants from 45 different countries, a staggering 72,278 visitors, and 115 active investors. This vibrant participation led to the signing of 23 significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), directly translating into an impressive ₹127.09 crore in new investments. Furthermore, authorities anticipate that many more such agreements will be finalized in the near future.
Key MoUs were established with international partners, including Link Innovations from France, RXN Hub from Canada, and Asia Berlin from Germany. These collaborations are designed to open doors for Tamil Nadu’s startups into global markets, while also providing them with top-tier business development and skill enhancement training programs.
