Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin launched a scathing attack on the BJP, criticizing their decision to send an NDA delegation to Karur following the tragic crowd crush at actor Vijay’s TVK political rally. Speaking on Friday, October 3, 2025, Stalin asserted that the visit was not driven by genuine concern but was merely a cynical ploy to gain political advantage ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections.
In a pointed social media post, Mr. Stalin questioned the BJP’s selective attention, asking why the party chose to dispatch a team to Karur while neglecting other significant national tragedies such as the Manipur violence, the Gujarat Morbi bridge collapse, or the fatalities at the Maha Kumbh Mela stampede. He unequivocally labeled their actions as “a cheap act to garner political mileage for the 2026 polls,” dismissing any claims of authentic concern.
The Chief Minister further accused the BJP of being a “parasite” that “sucked others’ blood,” habitually capitalizing on the misfortunes of others. He alleged that the BJP’s true motive in visiting Karur was to exploit the stampede as an opportunity to assert control over individuals or situations.
Concluding his strong remarks, Mr. Stalin declared, “Whichever mask you wear, no matter how many followers you mobilize, or whoever you intend to influence, as I said earlier, Tamil Nadu will always remain out of your control!”
