Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan has reacted sharply to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s optimistic assertion that the Mahagathbandhan will form the next government in Bihar and take the oath on November 18. Paswan, speaking in Patna, sarcastically remarked that there’s no harm in having “Mungeri Lal ke haseen sapne” – a colloquial term for daydreaming or indulging in wishful thinking.
Paswan confidently stated that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is set to form the government once again on November 14, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. This comes after Yadav had expressed strong conviction about the Mahagathbandhan’s victory and subsequent swearing-in ceremony, just four days after the election results are declared. Yadav had also criticized the current administration, citing alleged “maha jungle raaj” and daily incidents of firing in Bihar.
In addition to addressing the Bihar political landscape, Paswan also commented on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks. Gandhi had claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being “remote-controlled” by industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani. Paswan strongly defended the Prime Minister’s leadership, highlighting his government’s success in lifting over 25 crore people out of poverty in the past 11 years. He emphasized Modi’s decision-making capabilities and work style as the driving force behind this achievement, urging the Mahagathbandhan and the Congress party to refrain from making such unsubstantiated claims.
