Kerala has reached an extraordinary milestone, officially declaring the eradication of extreme poverty within its borders. This groundbreaking achievement has garnered significant international recognition, most notably from Xu Feihong, the Chinese Ambassador to India.
In a public statement shared on social media platform X, Ambassador Xu extended his heartfelt congratulations to the state, celebrating its “historic achievement in ending extreme poverty.” He further emphasized the universal significance of this endeavor, stating, “To eliminate poverty is the common mission of humanity.”
Responding to the Ambassador’s commendation, Kerala’s Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, expressed his sincere thanks. Chief Minister Vijayan highlighted that the state’s success in this critical area “reflects our shared commitment to social justice and human dignity,” reinforcing the profound impact of their efforts on society.
