Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is scheduled to undertake a crucial aerial survey of North Karnataka’s flood-stricken districts on Tuesday, aiming to assess the extensive damage caused by recent heavy rains.
His itinerary begins with an arrival at Kalaburagi airport by 10:40 a.m. via a special flight. Immediately upon arrival, the Chief Minister will hold a high-level meeting with district authorities and senior officials from various departments. This session is designed to gather comprehensive information on the flood situation across the region before he proceeds with the aerial inspection.
The aerial survey of the severely impacted areas across North Karnataka is slated to take place between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. This direct observation will provide critical insights into the scale of the disaster.
Later in the afternoon, Mr. Siddaramaiah will reconvene with officials from Kalaburagi, Bidar, Yadgir, and Vijayapura districts. This follow-up meeting will focus on reviewing the current situation and strategizing effective response measures in light of the relentless rainfall that has hit the region.
This important visit was organized after Forest and Ecology Minister Eshwar Khandre, along with Municipal Administration Minister Rahim Khan, met with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday evening. During their meeting, they urgently requested the implementation of robust relief measures and the announcement of a special financial package to support the affected farmers.
