Bharathi Cement, a key subsidiary of the French global giant Vicat, announced on Wednesday a significant commitment: the entire benefit from the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) reduction on cement will be directly transferred to its customers and business associates.
According to a statement released by Ravinder Reddy, the company’s Director of Marketing, ‘Our invoices will clearly show the GST rate change from the previous 28% to 18% for all cement sales across India. This will also lead to a corresponding reduction in the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of cement bags, effective from September 22nd.’
Bharathi Cement heartily applauds the government’s decision to lower the GST on cement. The company extended its gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, recognizing this move as a beneficial step that will positively impact millions of everyday citizens, home builders, and infrastructure developers across the nation.
Reddy further emphasized, ‘We have proactively instructed all our dealers and channel partners to adjust cement prices downwards, ensuring that the full scope of these benefits reaches every one of our valued customers.’
