In a heartwarming display of community spirit and dedication to public health, Jeevika Multi-Specialty Hospital, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Gulbarga Suncity, recently organized a highly successful free medical camp. This vital initiative took place in Narona village, nestled within the Aland taluk of Kalaburagi district, bringing much-needed healthcare directly to the residents.
The one-day health camp saw a dedicated team of medical professionals, spearheaded by esteemed doctors Rajkumar Kulkarni and Kaviraj Motakpalli, provide an array of multi-specialty services. A total of 250 villagers benefited from the camp, including 160 women and 90 men. The comprehensive services offered spanned critical areas such as orthopaedic care, paediatrics, and ophthalmology, complemented by essential basic diagnostic investigations. This holistic approach ensured that a wide range of health concerns could be addressed on-site.
Beyond consultations and diagnostics, the camp also focused on practical support. Free medicines were generously distributed to those in need, alleviating financial burdens. Furthermore, 70 elderly villagers received free spectacles, a simple yet life-changing provision. The medical team also ensured continuity of care by referring 10 individuals for more advanced medical treatment and potential surgeries. Additionally, 15 children were directed for specialized ENT and dental consultations, highlighting the camp’s commitment to addressing specific health requirements across all age groups within the community.
