C.T. Ravi: Removing the CM Won’t Fix Karnataka, Congress Must Go!

In a strong statement from Belagavi on Friday, BJP leader and MLC C.T. Ravi declared that a mere change of Chief Minister in Karnataka would be insufficient to rescue the state from the clutches of corruption. Instead, he called for the complete removal of the Congress government.

“Corruption is ingrained in the Congress’s very DNA,” Ravi asserted. “If one corrupt individual steps down, another will simply take their place, and no real improvement will follow.”

Dismissing talk of a “November revolution” by some Congress leaders, Ravi questioned its purpose. “What good would such a revolution bring to the state? Absolutely nothing,” he stated to reporters. “For any genuine transformation, the Congress government must be ousted.”

With Congress holding 136 seats, Ravi argued that it doesn’t matter who occupies the Chief Minister’s position if the underlying issue of corruption persists. “There will be no discernible difference if one tainted leader is merely replaced by another. Our primary concerns are rampant corruption and the escalating cost of living,” he emphasized.

Ravi further criticized the Congress government for allegedly attempting to fracture Hindu society along caste lines through the use of the caste census, claiming they prioritize this over genuine public welfare.

Commenting on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s assertion that he would remain in office for five years, Ravi suggested this indicates a weakened Congress high command. “Previously, he, like other leaders, would defer to the party high command on such matters. Now, he’s confidently making statements in his own favor,” Ravi observed.

The BJP MLC also lamented that many ministers in various districts have lost touch with the public, instead becoming preoccupied with cooperative society elections. “They lack the empathy to genuinely listen to people’s problems. While involvement in their constituencies is important, their focus needs to extend beyond that,” he added.

Ravi reiterated his accusations of widespread corruption and anti-people policies against the Congress administration. “The Contractors’ Association has explicitly reported large-scale corruption in the state. Are Congress leaders not ashamed of this?” he challenged. He also blamed the Siddaramaiah government for the rising prices of essential goods.

Ravi was part of a BJP delegation that visited flood-affected areas in Belagavi, engaging with villagers and farmers. The delegation, led by Leader of the Opposition R. Ashok, also met with BJP MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi in Pant Balekundri village for discussions.
