The Congress party has officially declared its initial roster of candidates for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Prominent among the announced names is Rajesh Ram, the state unit chief, who will be contesting from the Kutumba constituency.
Furthermore, the list features CLP leader Shakeel Ahmad Khan, nominated for the Kadwa seat. This announcement precedes the finalization of seat-sharing arrangements with key allies within the Mahagathbandhan coalition, including the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
The party has also nominated Prakash Garib Das, the President of Bihar Youth Congress, for the Bachhwada seat. Other key candidates include Jayesh Mangal Singh from Bagaha, Amit Giri from Nautan, and Abhishek Ranjan from Chanpatia.
The Bihar Assembly elections, covering all 243 seats, are scheduled to take place in two phases: November 6 and November 11. The results will be declared on November 14.
The deadline for submitting nominations for the first phase of polling is October 17, while the second phase deadline is October 20.
