In a recent and successful operation, the dedicated officers from the Organized Crime wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Bengaluru have taken a significant step against illegal activities. They arrested a 30-year-old individual suspected of drug peddling and confiscated a country-made pistol along with four rounds of ammunition.
The arrested suspect has been identified as Roshan Ahmed, a resident of the BTM layout area. Authorities moved swiftly following intelligence.
Acting on a credible tip-off, CCB sleuths intercepted Ahmed near the Indian Oil Petrol Bunk in Suddaguntepalya. At the time of his apprehension, he was reportedly preparing to commit another crime.
During subsequent interrogation, Ahmed allegedly confessed to his involvement in the illicit drug trade. He also disclosed that he acquired the illegal firearm and ammunition from an individual located in Madhya Pradesh. Furthermore, he admitted to using the weapon to intimidate rivals, ensuring the smooth, uninterrupted operation of his unlawful business.
