Bengaluru’s racing circuit was abuzz on Sunday morning, November 2, as several horses underwent their routine exercises. Among the day’s standout performers, Hidden Dreams and Lux Aeterna particularly pleased trainers and observers alike with their impressive track work, signaling promising form for upcoming events.
Inner Sand Workouts:
During the inner sand drills, a focus on speed and control was evident:
600m: Knotty Charmer (ridden by its regular rider) and Prana (guided by B. Harish) both clocked 41 seconds, demonstrating good control and energy throughout their run.
1000m: Agrador, with R. Pradeep aboard, completed the 1000m in 1-9.5, with the last 600m timed at 41 seconds. This pair moved freely and displayed smooth progress. However, it was Hidden Dreams, ridden by its regular rider, who truly impressed. This magnificent horse completed the 1000m in a brisk 1-6, with a powerful final 600m split of 39 seconds, showcasing exceptional readiness.
1200m: Lux Aeterna, under the skillful guidance of Shreyas, executed a remarkably fluent 1200m workout, finishing in 1-25. The mare passed the 1000m mark in 1-10 and the last 600m in 39.5 seconds, demonstrating excellent rhythm, sustained pace, and overall superb conditioning.
Outer Sand Workouts:
On the outer sand track, other contenders also showed their mettle:
600m: Ladyness (ridden by P. Mani) and Sekhmet (with Rushal in the saddle) both completed their 600m runs in 46.5 seconds, moving comfortably and with evident readiness.
1200m: Refreshment, handled by its regular rider, completed its 1200m exercise in 1-31. The horse passed the 1000m in 1-16 and the 600m in 46 seconds, appearing to be in excellent condition and fine trim, poised for future challenges.
